I am coming with my daughter and we have usually stayed in the parks very late when we come to take advantage of extra magic hours when we stayed at disney hotels. However it's a special event the night of 12/19, so are there still extra magic hours?

Hi Michele! Some of my family’s fondest memories are from our late-night stays in the Disney Parks! There is definitely something extra magical about being in the parks well into the evening hours! Let me try to offer some advice to keep you in the parks a bit later.

Our old friend, Extra Magic Hours, has entered the Disney vault for retirement. The Disney Parks have introduced a few new perks for Guests. The first perk, known as the Early Theme Park Entry benefit, is available to all Guests staying at hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection. This perk allows Guests to enter any Disney Park, on any day, 30-minutes before park opening time! This is a great perk!

The Disney Parks have also introduced the Extended Evening Hours benefit for Guests staying at a deluxe hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection! This perk allows Guests to stay in Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT up to two hours beyond the scheduled closing time! On some nights, that means staying in the parks up to midnight!

Finally, Michele, don’t forget that Guests visiting the Disney Parks can get in line for an attraction until just before closing time! That means that the park will officially close, but Guests waiting in line for an attraction will still get to enjoy the attraction! You can then take a leisurely stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. to check out the shops and purchase some snacks on your way out of the park!
