Hello, Jenai,
What an incredible holiday you have planned for this year! Walt Disney World at Christmas is pure magic; it is decorated from top to bottom and filled with so much holiday spirit. It is my absolute favorite time to visit. When we have been there over Christmas, we have found that generally most of the table service restaurants offer holiday meal options. With that in mind, I think I'd like to suggest you pick a restaurant whose theming would make you feel extra special during the holidays. I'll share with you some of our favorite restaurants that take 1 table service entitlement on the Disney Dining Plan.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has a beautifully decorated tree in the lobby along with a life-size gingerbread house. You may feel as if you strolled into a Victorian Christmas! At this resort, the
Grand Floridian Cafe is elegant, but relaxed, while you will have a chance to soak up all the holiday festivities at the resort. If you'd prefer a dinner buffet with character interactions,
1900 Park Fare is a perfect match. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention
Disney's Wilderness Lodge, which is inspired by national park lodges, and stunning over the holidays.
Whispering Canyon Cafe has lots of yummy cowboy food so it may not be as traditional, but it will be filled with fun and giggles.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is equally impressive with its holiday decor.
Boma - Flavors of Africa is an outstanding dining experience. It is a buffet filled with delicious foods inspired by Africa while still offering traditional choices.
Sanaa is another amazing restaurant where you can eat on the savanna level with animals right outside your window. If you'd like a guaranteed traditional holiday feast with all the trimmings,
Liberty Tree Tavern has a Thanksgiving inspired meal every day. Finally, I want to make sure and mention the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. While it isn't a table service meal, it is filled with a variety of holiday kitchens where guests can purchase an assortment of holiday inspired foods to sample. It may be a fun Christmas Eve dining idea!
I hope this helps to get you started with your planning. Please let us know if you'd like some additional ideas, especially since I didn't mention any of the signature (2 entitlements) restaurants. We are happy to share even more ideas. Wishing you a magical day! -Kara
