I am coming from Canada in Spring 2020 if I buy 5 day park passes I used to have 14 days from first use to use all the days but I have heard that the rules have changed is this true? I hope not because having a child with ASD we need down days

    Hello again Heather,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question. It’s wonderful to see you again!

It’s true that the rules regarding how many days you now have to use any Theme Park Tickets that you plan to purchase during your family’s 2020 visit to Walt Disney World Resort have changed, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t plan “non Theme Park” days during your visit. If you’re planing to purchase a 5-Day Ticket, you’ll have 8 days to use up your admission entitlements during your stay. If you add the “Park Hopper Plus” add-on, you’ll have a total of 9 days to use your 5 days of Theme Park admission and your 5 “fun visits”.

My little guy also needs some “down time” during our visits to Walt Disney World Resort and, as you can see, the new Theme Park Ticket structure will still allow you to enjoy some quieter days, too! My recommendation would be to do “two days on, one day off” during your next visit. I find that pattern works the best for my son because it allows him to remember and predict the vacation’s pattern, which is always a comfort to him.

I hope my answer helps you plan the perfect visit to Walt Disney World Resort for your entire family. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
