Coming to campgrounds for 3 weeks in Octber/November and 3 months starting mid January. Would like to know if there is anyway to get a discount for an extended stay AND a cheaper way to get a golf cart rented for a long time other then $60. a day

Hi Dawn! I am also a fellow Fort Wilderness campground visitor. We will likely be there at the same time this fall as we are planning a month from mid October to mid November!  Disney does not offer long term discounts on the sites. Some guests opt for the loops that are further away from the amenities which have lower pricing. The premium sites will be the most costly with the better location and sturdy picnic tables and longer sites.  If your recreational vehicle can fit on one of these you might consider that versus the premiums.

Disney also does not discount the golf carts. There are guests who rent from outside sources and they are delivered to them at the campground. Disney has not encouraged this as there are rules and regulations regrading the carts and no matter where you get yours you still must abide by those rules. Speed and noise are the big factors so be careful you get one that fits the campground if you choose from an outside source. We actually have our own cart and store it down in Florida so we have it to use during our lengthy stays. It might be something you consider in the long run if you continue to have long term vacations in the Fort. We really enjoy having our own.
