    Coming to Beach Club in December with a party of nine would like to go to the Biergarten but I see on all the blogs people are having problems getting in a reservation with a large group would you recommend me try splitting it my group up?

    Welcome back to planDisney!

    Ahhh yes, the dining reservation dilemma for larger groups - I have managed this dilemma in the past! Yes, I would consider separating your group into two smaller groups. When your advanced dining reservation window opens, you could try making a reservation for four and a reservation for five that are within 15 minutes of each other. If you are able to make one but not another and/or cannot make either reservation, try one of the online reservation finders. There are online services that search Walt Disney World dining reservations for you and will send an alert when one comes available. We only sign-up for the free versions of these services and have had some success. Normally, I just keep searching on my own and can snag a reservation prior to our trip.

    In the past, I have found reservations months before and days before our trip, so do not lose hope! Cancelations do happen so you just have to keep checking and make that reservation as soon as you see it. If you take time to consult with others in your group, the reservation could get gone. So, if you see an available reservation, grab it, and then confirm with your group that the time works. If it turns out that it does not, remember to cancel that reservation to avoid any cancelation penalties!

    If you are making reservations for everyone, be sure that they are connected in your My Family & Friends List in your My Disney Experience account. When making two dining reservations for the same time period, make sure that you select a different lead Guest for each reservation. Also, double-check the credit card being used to guarantee the dining reservations. If you do not cancel and do not show up for the reservation, your credit card may be charged a fee. 

    Christine, try making a reservation for a group of four and a group of five as soon as your dining reservation window opens. I am normally up and ready to go by 5:45 a.m. on the day we can start making dining reservations. Normally, as long as I am up by 5:45 a.m. and making reservations on the day our dining reservation window opens, I can secure the reservations we want!
