Coming back to WDW in April 2010. Did value resort before and would love to stay at the Gr Flor but it is VERY pricey. In your opinion, which resort is the next best thing. Looking for that "luxury" feel for less. Want a really memorable exp.

Hi, Tinisha!    The Grand Floridian is an amazing resort, but it is not cheap!

I recently stayed in a newly renovated room at Coronado Springs (a moderate resort.)  It was really nice!   You are able to book a room with 2 queen beds (other moderate resorts have double beds) and the linens were very high quality.   The beds were stacked with pillows and very comfortable.

The resort itself is lovely.   It has beautiful landscaping and all the buildings surround a lake (Lago Dorado) and there is a great main pool area.  The buildings are very spread out, so it can be a bit of a walk to get to El Centro (main lobby area) but I stayed in the Casitas in building 1 and found it to be very convenient.

What you pick up by staying at the Grand Floridian is its proximity to the Magic Kingdom, guest rooms that open to interior hallways, rooms with balconies, and less walking around the resort.   However, for the price savings, I think Coronado Springs is a great deal!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
