    Hi Clare:

The best time to head to Walt Disney World is when schools are in session, which is when crowds at the Parks tend to be the lightest.  I believe late October is wonderful in terms of weather and crowds.  There are few, if any, school holidays late October.  Weather in October generally hovers in the low 80's (fahrenheit).  The weather may dip into the 60's or high 50's at night and early morning, so I would bring layers of clothes.  Hurricane season, which starts in the summer, tends to taper off by early October.  So while I can't guarantee the weather, there's a good chance that late October will only be a few degrees colder than the weather you saw during your September trip (and it may be a bit dryer).

Either time period you suggest should result in a decent chance of low crowds and good weather.  But since you haven't been to the Parks in October, I would lean towards that choice, especially because you'll see that sections of the Parks are decorated for Halloween.

    Enjoy your vacation.
