Hi, we are coming back to Disney World with our 4.5y/o son this fall. We have not yet taken him to Epcot. Do you think this is still too young to enjoy Epcot?

Hi Jade!  I know it sounds strange but my 6 year old grandson has loved Epcot and proclaimed it as his favorite park last year. This park has the best meet and greet opportunity in my book as all the fabulous five and more characters are located at one spot. You stand in line once and only once and when you are done you will have Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Chip and Dale, Goofy and Pluto's autographs. Obviously things can change as far as characters but they will have the main ones.  Photopass photographers are there to take each and every picture making it convenient and easy.

My grandson LOVES Innoventions and sometimes it is hard to get him to move on to something else. These buildings are full on interactive games and activities. He especially loves the Fire Safety game and course.  He started visiting this area when he was four so I would certainly try it for your son. Children are all different so it is hard to gauge what your child will enjoy or not enjoy.

There are other great things to do with that age in Epcot. The Imagination Pavilion has a cute ride and some interactive activities at the end. Kids usually enjoy the Land boat ride and if your son is tall enough he might enjoy Soarin.  Definitely take him to see Turtle Talk with Crush and the Nemo ride. He might enjoy lunch at Coral Reef watching the fish swim by as he eats.

Around the World Showcase each country has a Kidcot station where children can enjoy doing some crafts. It is a good time to leave dad and son to play and create while mom does some shopping at each country.

Oh and Spaceship Earth is fun for this age as long as they understand that it might get a little dark at times.  I say go for it and enjoy this wonderful park!
