Hi we are coming back to Disney (not been since 2019!). Staying on site at Disneyworld, can you advise whether souvenir refillable cups are still issued please? Also can you tell me what perks we get for staying onsite a lot has change since 2019 thanks

Hi there Danielle, and welcome to planDisney!

You must be excited to return to the Most Magical Place on Earth this summer. Several changes have occurred since your last visit, so let's chat about how these will impact your vacation!

First, I'm happy to share that resort refillable mugs are still available. They come in a few colors and can be purchased at your resort's quick-service dining location. You'll be eligible for refills during the length of your stay. My family likes to buy these upon check-in and use them in our hotel room, at quick-service meals, and at our resort pool. We continue to use them at home as a fun reminder of our vacations.

As a Guest of a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection, you can enjoy MORE time in the theme parks. One of my favorite current perks is Early Theme Park Entry. I love that I can now enter all theme parks 30 minutes before the regular opening every day of my trip. Additionally, if you're staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort or Disney Deluxe Villa Resort, you're eligible for Extended Evening Hours at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT on select nights.

Since your last visit, Disney Genie Service has been one of the most significant updates. This tool within the My Disney Experience mobile app can help plan your day and offers upgrades like Disney Genie+ Service and Individual Lightning Lane Entries to help your party avoid standby lines at select attractions. As an onsite Guest, you can purchase Individual Lightning Lane Entries as early as 7 AM daily; offsite visitors must wait until the park opens. This is especially important if you're trying to secure an Individual Lightning Lane for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. And while we're on the subject of Disney's newest attractions, be sure to familiarize yourself with the Virtual Queue process so you don't miss out on the excitement.

In 2019, you received a MagicBand as part of your resort stay. Today, you can purchase a pre-arrival, discounted MagicBand+ for each party member. MagicBand+ still accomplishes all of its predecessor functions, but it is an upgraded device with a rechargeable battery and interactive theme park features. Check out some designs online in your My Disney Experience account; they're adorable and fun to wear!

Before I go, I want to tell you about one more thing you can expect during your resort stay. Upon entering your room, you may notice something on your bedside table that wasn't there before. "Hey Disney!" the new in-room digital assistant is now here to help with requests big and small. Whether you're requesting more towels or wondering about theme park operating hours, Hey Disney! is there for you. During a recent stay, my little ones enjoyed asking Hey Disney! to tell jokes (they're all Disney-themed and family-friendly).

I hope this has been helpful, Danielle. Please come see us again if there's anything else we can do before your vacation begins. Thanks for sending your question our way, and we'll see ya real soon!
