We are coming back to Disney 3/25-3/30 and Animal Kingdom has magic hours at night that monday which we have never done. What goes on at Animal Kingdom at night? What can we do there in the dark? Are you able to see the animals?

    Hi Brian,

You are NOT able to see the animals after dark at Animal Kingdom.  The attractions that are open are mainly shows or ride on attractions that don't feature live animals: DINOSAUR, Expedition Everest, Festival of the Lion King, It's Tough to be a Bug!, Kali River Rapids, Primeval Whirl and TriceraTop Spin.

If you have small children, it may not be worth it to venture to this park for extra magic hours in the evening.  In fact, I used to think that evening extra magic hours were a waste of time at Animal Kingdom.

    HOWEVER

If you have older children who can enjoy these attractions, then go!  Expedition Everest at night is AWESOME!!!! Riding that attraction after dark has completely changed my opinion about evening extra magic hours at Animal Kingdom.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
