Hey, howdy, hey, Paul! Welcome to planDisney! It's awesome that you've found us here today. It sounds like you're planning an amazing holiday vacation to
Walt Disney World Resort! I just know you're going to have an absolute blast!
Paul, I'm so glad that you're thinking ahead to your visit to the Disney Theme Parks on New Year's Eve. It's one of the most popular days of the year for Guests to visit the parks, and for good reason! The nighttime spectaculars are second-to-none, in my opinion, and there's no better place to ring in the new year! There are a few types of
theme park admission that require theme park reservations, including: Disney Military Salute Tickets, Annual Passes, conference group tickets, and tickets for Florida Residents. You can check to be sure you don't need a reservation in the My Tickets & Passes section of My Disney Experience. If you see a calendar icon or a prompt to make a reservation, then you will need to do that ahead of your visit.
I've celebrated New Year's Eve at the Most Magical Place on Earth a few times, and it has always been an unforgettable experience. My advice would be to arrive at the park early, and plan to stay all day. Be prepared for larger crowds, and be sure to pack your patience and sense of humor. I love celebrating New Year's Eve at
EPCOT because there is
so much to do and see! Each country in the World Showcase celebrates in a unique way, so you can be part of lots of different cultural experiences in one incredible evening.
Paul, I hope this is helpful as you make your plans for your vacation. Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you count down to your visit and the new year!
See you real soon!
Jennifer
