Coming from Australia and I know it is winter in December in Florida but what is the weather like on the Bahamas & Western Caribbean cruises in December - is it cool and windy or tropical and warm - trying to figure what to pack. Thanks

Hi, Annette! December is a popular time to cruise especially to the Bahamas and in the Caribbean. For the most part, hurricanes are not as much of a threat as in the fall, and the daytime temperature usually stays in the upper 70s/lower 80s F and upper 20s C.  It can get a little windy and cool on deck at night. Therefore, it is advisable to bring everyone in your traveling party a jacket. (You might want to pack a rain poncho and/or an umbrella just in case.)

Yet, don't forget the sunblock and your swimwear. Although it may be a little cooler than in the spring and summer months...you will definitely get warm (and burned) by the sun especially on the ship. The weather in Central Florida is similar to that in the Bahamas with it being a a few degrees cooler. I hope this helps you pack!

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
