We are coming from Australia arriving 5 July. If we had to cancel due to Covid positive does Disney offer refunds for accommodation at the accommodation options?

Hi there, Matthew! Welcome to planDisney! It looks like you are planning an exciting visit to the Happiest Place on Earth this summer! You are going to love everything that the Disneyland Resort has in store for those warm weather months ... but we'll get to that in a minute. Let's take a look at your question!

It sounds like you have booked a stay at one of the three magical Disneyland Resort Hotels! I hope I have that right! As someone that has moved our family vacation around a few times given the current climate, you are smart to be aware of cancellation and refund policies ahead of time.

First and foremost, I would check in with your local travel booking agent regarding the cancellation and refund policy for your particular package. They would be able to best inform you of any underlying specifics for your booking. I can tell you that stateside, a hotel-room-only reservation would need to be canceled 5 or more days ahead of arrival for a full refund. If it is canceled within 5 days, there will be a cancelation fee equivalent to the first night's room rate plus taxes and fees, and no-shows are non-refundable. I'm going to wish upon a star that you won't have to cancel your visit, though! So much magic awaits!

The nights at the Disneyland Resort are about to come alive once again! Starting April 22nd, the nighttime spectaculars are BACK! World of Color at Disney California Adventure Park will sweep you away through its unique water-inspired storytelling. Disneyland Forever fireworks will light up Sleeping Beauty's Castle in Disneyland Park while the Main Street Electrical Parade will once again float down Main Street, U.S.A. in celebration of its 50th anniversary! Hot off the press just today, the Disneyland Resort has announced the return of some very special dessert parties and dining packages with exclusive viewing for some of these nighttime events! While you are checking with your local booking agent, you can ask about some of these magical extras!

Matthew, let's cross our fingers and sprinkle some pixie dust that you find yourself at Disneyland this summer! I hope this was helpful in your planning. If you have any more questions, we love to help here at planDisney.

    Never stop dreaming!
