We are coming in August this year. I have a 5 yr old and a 3yr old, both girls. we would like to try out the boardwalk this year at nite, what is there to do, is it worth it?

If you have an extra night on your hands, I would definitely recommend a visit to the BoardWalk, Timothy.  While there aren't any specific attractions there (carousel or anything like that) often times you'll find street performers (think along the lines of magicians) doing their acts for gathered crowds.  There are also carnival style games and a caricature artist.  My family enjoys stopping by the BoardWalk to ride the surrey bike (available for rent by the half-hour) and indulge our sweet tooth with an ice cream cone or treat from the candy shop.

If you have a free night, a trip to the BoardWalk is worth it.  That said, I wouldn't skimp on any fireworks or dinner shows in order to go.  I hope that helps!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
