    Hi, we are coming in August, people say we are crazy, how hot is it and does it rain all the time? We are coming on the 1st.

    Hi Gina!  Well if you're crazy, I'm crazy!  I'm also going in August as are a couple of the other Moms on the panel.

    August weather is typically hot (90's) and humid.  Because it's one of the rainiest months, you are almost guaranteed to have a pop-up thunderstorm in the afternoon.  Usually the storms don't last too long so if you plan your day accordingly, you should be fine (historically speaking).

    When I travel to Disney in August, I usually start my day early and plan on an afternoon break. I get as much of my park agenda done as possible before it gets too hot/humid.  Once I feel the family has had enough, we do head back to the resort for a quick lunch, swim or enjoy some of the recreational opportunities Disney offers - we love the Sea Raycers!  We'll then enjoy a nice dinner (this is about the time when the storms seem to come through) and then head back to the parks later in the day.

    Bottom line: don't try to over-do it, stay hydrated, carry a poncho, keep an eye on the skies and stay as cool as possible.
