Welcome to planDisney! Making plans to visit the Happiest Place on Earth is so much fun, right? I totally get why you want to experience Disneyland Resort after a long hiatus. I’m right there with you in wanting to do the same.
Currently, only California residents are allowed access to the theme parks during the initial reopening of Disneyland Resort. When Guests log in to make
Theme Park Reservations, their Disneyland account shows their address and asks them to confirm California as their state of residence. So as an out-of-state resident, you’ll have to be patient and wait a bit longer for your Disneyland adventure.
I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but there are definitely valid health and safety reasons for limiting admission to Golden State residents only and to ensure that Disneyland's
phased reopening is successful. Then that will mean that Disneyland Resort can consider reopening to include Guests from other states sooner. Being from out-of-state myself, I am chEARing for that day to come real soon!
Just so you can keep tabs on when Disneyland Resort opens to out-of-state residents, check for updates on the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Disneyland Resort website. These are the best resources for the most recent information. Hopefully you’ll be able to walk down Main Street U.S.A. very soon. When that day comes, my wish is that it’s even better than you imagined!
