Darlene from WV Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Coming in April w/grown daughter and nieces, going to celebrate LIFE for myself (Luekemia) and LIFE for one niece (5) started having seizures at same time I was diagnosed w/AML, this is first vacation like this, need help with plane, room reservations, etc

Dear Darlene, First, I want to say that I'm sorry you & your Niece have had to deal with health problems. But very glad that you are focusing on celebrating life & Disney is the best place to do that!

I suggest first looking at Disney's Magic Your Way vacation packages (be sure to scroll all the way to the right on that link to see all of the packages!) These packages can include your Resort room, transportation to & from airport, meals, & Park tickets which will simplify a lot of your planning. Your flight will be something you do separately, but Disney's Magical Express can pick you up from the airport as part of your package which really helps.

I want to encourage you to ask for help if you need it at the airport, your Resort or the Parks. All of the staff & Cast Members (as they call the employees at Disney!) are there to help you.

Stop by Guest Relations in the Parks and pick up a free "I'm Celebrating" button & wear it with pride! Cast Members will go out of their way to congratulate you & make you feel special while at the Parks
Something you might want to look at is the Guest Assistance Card (GAC) that Disney offers to Guests that may need assistance. Having this card will let Cast Members know that you may need help at certain attractions. Stop by Guest Relations at the Parks to learn more.

I hope you have a magical time free from thoughts of cancer & seizures in Disney World!
