Coming in April, if we need to have a negative COVID test for domestic flights at that time where can we get tested? I don’t rent a car so would like something close by.

Hey there, Michelle. It sure is an interesting time in our lives, isn't it? There is so much uncertainty going on, it can be hard to plan any type of vacation right now.

Currently, only people entering the United States from an international destination are required to provide a negative COVID-19 test before flying. Of course, as you know, that could change at any time. If you are concerned about the possibility of air travel requirements changing, maybe driving this year to your Walt Disney World vacation is a better choice. However, if you do end up flying and the protocol changes during your vacation, I'm sure there are plenty of COVID-19 testing facilities near-by. In fact, I did a quick google search and it looks like there are 3 places in close proximity. All three state on their website that appointments are not necessary, referrals are not required and they provide testing for all patients. One is located in Lake Buena Vista and the other two are in Kissimmee which are all just a short ride-share trip away from Walt Disney World. So it seems like you'll have plenty of choices if it comes down to it, but let's hope not!

During your vacation, I hope you'll get a chance to check out the Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival which is running at Epcot from March 3rd to July 5th. It's my favorite time of year to visit Epcot. The park is illuminated with beautiful, vibrant flower arrangements and topiaries and it just feels like spring has most definitely sprung. I love it! I also love snacking while at Walt Disney World so the addition of outdoor kitchens to the festival is a big plus in my book. Each year there seem to be more and more booths boasting delicious and beautiful dishes. Hopefully, you'll plan a day to enjoy strolling around The World Showcase enjoying all the festival has to offer.

I hope this helps ease your mind about your upcoming vacation, Michelle. While we can't predict what is going to happen, I do know if you end up vacationing at Walt Disney World this year you will have a magical and memorable time.

    Stay safe and healthy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
