Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Joe!
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and ask us your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. Your April vacation will be here before you know it!
I've taken my own children as infants, so I'm happy to give you advice on what worked for me, but I definitely recommend speaking with your pediatrician as they are the expert on what's best for your baby. Many of the queues for popular attractions are actually inside or have shaded areas. Between that and moving my own body to shade my little one from the sun, I didn't find they were exposed too often. For times when there wasn't that opportunity, I carried a muslin cotton swaddling blanket to loosely drape over our baby. The open weave and lightweight fabric of the muslin allows for better airflow, helping reduce the risk of overheating. Again, I would definitely consult your doctor to hear their recommendations.
Bringing a baby to Walt Disney World Resort can be a little overwhelming, but it's totally do-able and honestly, I've found Disney makes it both fun and easy. Make sure you check out the
Baby Care Centers as they have everything you might need as well as a quiet place to sit and rest.
Have an incredible vacation, Joe. If there is anything else I can assist you with or offer advice on, please let me know.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
