We are coming April 2017, 3 families with all kids under 6, At Port Orleans-Riverside whats the location difference in the Standard Room and Garden View, I see that Garden view is Disney pick. Does that mean it will be closer to the pool and restaurants?

Greetings LeAnn and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
With so many different room types at the Walt Disney World Resort it can be a little confusing. In my experience a Standard Room will often have a view of parking lots or roof tops and Garden View will look over the lovely manicured lawn and flower beds of the Resort. Neither of these will get you truly closer to the amenities of the Resort unless you book a Preferred Room category.

I hope this helps with your planning!

    See ya real soon,
