Welcome to planDisney, Kelly!
Walt Disney World is the perfect place for children of all ages. Like you, I have two Mousketeers of my own and so finding attractions that we can all enjoy as a family is top of my priority list. Let me give you my personal suggestions:
I would begin with Magic Kingdom Park. Not only will your kiddos love to see some magical friends in the
Festival of Fantasy Parade, but there are also many kid-friendly attractions, like "it's a small world," Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Jungle Cruise, Goofy's Barnstormer, Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, Mad Tea Party, and Peter Pan's Flight. If your kids are anything like mine, they'd adore exploring Tom Sawyer Island or climbing the Swiss Family Treehouse too.
Next on my list would be Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. This wild, beautiful, and fun park has family-friendly attractions like
Kilimanjaro Safaris, Na'vi River Journey, and the Wildlife Express Train. There are also some fabulous shows your kids will enjoy, like A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King, Disney KiteTails, and the brand new,
Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond.
Next up is EPCOT. With attractions such as
Frozen Ever After, Journey Into Imagination With Figment, and The Seas With Nemo & Friends, your Mouseketeers will be grinning from EAR to EAR.
Disney's Hollywood Studios has less for young kids to enjoy. However, my children loved
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, Toy Story Mania!, and Alien Swirling Saucers. They also enjoyed Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy and Disney Junior Play and Dance.
So you've got a number of different options there, Kelly. I hope that's helpful.
Have a magical trip! See ya real soon!
Mike
