Coming 3/26 - 3/30 2adults, 3 kids (10,9,7) is it worth it to get the Fantasmic Dinning Package? If so which restaurant do you reccommend Hollywood & Vine or Mama Melrose's?

    Hi Trisha,

I find booking the Fantasmic! Dinner Package one less thing I have to stress out about since I know we'll have reserved seats for Fantasmics, but of course, then the decision about which restaurant is more stress!  If you haven't looked over the menus, I'd start there. A description of what is offered at Hollywood & Vine's (H & V) dinner buffet can be found here. Mama Melrose Ristorante's (MMR) dinner menu can be found here; the kids' menu here

What I think really separates the two restaurants is that H &V is a buffet, so you can eat almost immediately once you are seated, you'll have lots of choices, and the kids can eat off the entire menu (not limited to a kids' menu), but you have to work more to eat.  There are sometimes at WDW after extensive walking where I'll admit I just want to be waited on (kind of embarrassing to actually write that, ug), especially when my children were younger and I had to help them with their plates, too.  At MMR you'll be waited on, but with that comes a longer wait for food as well as the limitations of the menu.  With all that said, I recommend both restaurants and enjoy them both. If you'd like more feedback, a quick search of each restaurant at www.disneyfoodblog.com will give you some more insight.
