Hi there, Courtney, and welcome to planDisney! Your trip to Walt Disney World is right around the corner, and I'm sure you're counting the days until you step into the magic. I'm so happy you stopped by with your question, so let's dig right in!
There are so many things to love about The Most Magical Place on Earth, but one of my favorites is the variety of incredible, immersive restaurants! As Remy famously said, "If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff!" Of course, if you want the good stuff in Disney World, it's always smart to make an Advance Dining Reservation. So let's make sure you're prepared and ready to go when your dining window opens!
Courtney, I see that you're staying at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort on your upcoming stay. As a guest of a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can make your Advance Dining Reservations 60 days before check-in, for the entire length of your stay (up to 10 days). On the day that your booking window opens, you can begin making reservations at 6 AM EST. Out in Colorado, that's 4 AM MST! I know it's early, but I always set my alarm for the best availability. While Advance Dining Reservations are strongly recommended for table-service restaurants, you won't need to make reservations for quick-service locations, since they don't take reservations at all!
Bonus Tip: If you're trying for a hard-to-book restaurant (like the new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed
Beak and Barrel lounge), shoot for a reservation on the last day of your stay. You'll get the best availability and, hopefully, a time that's convenient for you!
I hope this information is helpful, Courtney, and that your upcoming stay is nothing short of magical! If you have any other planning questions, you know
where to find me right here at planDisney!
See ya real soon,
Allison
