We want to be as comfortable as possible on our trip in the end of August, for me and my 9yo daughter would you recommend walking around the parks in sneakers or sandals for the hot and humid weather? Thanks

    Hi Jessica,

This is a great question since you WILL be walking a lot at Walt Disney World. I, personally, prefer to wear sneakers for the ultimate comfort. I have worn flip flops or sandals before, but after  tons of walking and my feet swelling with the heat and humidity, I developed blisters rubbing against the straps.

If you do decide on sneakers, I would highly suggest socks that aren't 100% cotton as they will hold onto the sweat and won't keep your feet cool and dry. Socks with "moisture wicking" are the best as they will draw the moisture away from the skin.

I hope this helps you stay comfortable and have a pixie-dusted vacation come August!
