I am combining work/pleasure trip w/ my mom & 3 y.o. daugher in Jan. Plan now to stay 3 nts POFQ and 3 nts AOA Little Mermaid rooms as she loves movie. Would 1 moderate (Caribbean/POR) be a better fit? Worried about noise of value rms and no playgrou

    Hi Victoria,

Although I'm a big fan of resort hopping (staying at more than one Walt Disney World hotel during a single visit), I found this to be less than ideal when our son was younger.

When you add in the fact that your mom is also traveling with you, I highly recommend choosing one hotel for your length of stay.

A great compromise is to stay at a moderate resort during your entire visit. I can tell you that my son has never been disappointed by a resort at Walt Disney World and we've stayed at nearly all of them. I did find it helpful to have a playground option when our son was younger.

Again, I'm looking at convenience when I recommend Port Orleans French Quarter. Caribbean Beach Resort is a sprawling complex which we found more difficult to navigate when our son's grandparents traveled with us. Port Orleans Riverside is also a large resort.

With Port Orleans French Quarter, you'll get a moderate resort with queen beds, one bus stop, less walking, and transportation to Downtown Disney via the Sassagoula Riverboat. We found this ideal when grandparents accompanied us on a trip. There is a small playground too! We never had any noise problems at this resort.

If I can be of further help, just let me know!
