When combining FP and Rider Switch, does the non-rider need a FP to enter the line? On rides this is available, is there always a cast member at entrance or is it at the point of boarding? Thanks!

    Hi Andrea,

One of the things I like about the Walt Disney World Resorts is the Rider Switch. This is a great way to ride the bigger attractions without having to wait twice. We used this two years ago when we were touring with our 10 month old nephew.

If you are using a FastPass+, everyone who wants to ride the attraction will need a FastPass+ to wait in that line. Simply proceed to the line with the entire party and ask the cast member at the entrance to the ride for a Rider Switch. One adult will stay behind and receive the Rider Switch pass. Once the remaining members of the party return, that adult proceed through the line.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
