When I combine my disney gift cards do I need to keep the empty gift cards for any reason? Like say I purchase something with the card and need to make a return would the funds go back onto the card I used that has all the funds or the empty cards?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Tiffany. We're so glad you stopped by to share your question with us. Oh boy, it sounds like a visit to the Disneyland Resort is in your future and you have some fantastic Disney Gift Cards to make use of.

I love receiving Disney Gift Cards from friends and family. They can be used for so many things from theme park tickets to food and merchandise at the resort. It sounds like you've already visited the Disney Gift Card site to consolidate all of your balances onto a single gift card (Hooray!). The only gift card you will need to hang on to is the one that you've transferred all balances to. If any refunds need to be processed back they will be refunded to whichever card was used to make the purchase.

If you're like me and planning to use your Disney Gift Card for food during your visit, you can conveniently use it in the Disneyland app when using Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. Once you get to the "Order Summary" screen, there is an option at the bottom to "Use a Different Payment Method" where you can quickly scan the barcode of your Disney Gift Card for use. I just used this feature during a recent visit and it was so quick and easy.

There are so many wonderful and spooktacular things happening at the resort right now. A couple of my favorite things to do were exploring the newly opened San Fransokyo Square in Disney California Adventure Park and getting a Baymax hug! And of course, it's also Halloween Time and I thoroughly enjoyed sinking my teeth into many seasonal eats and treats.

Tiffany, I hope this has been helpful. Please come back to visit us with any other questions that we can help with. Here's wishing you a magical visit. I hope you're able to stop by San Fransokyo Square to give Baymax a hug and fist bump.
