Can I combine Disney gift cards of different currency? If I have a USD Disney Gift Card and a Canadian Dollar Disney Gift Card, can the Canadian Dollar gift card be transferred over to a USD gift card at the current exchange rate?

Hi, Adrian! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Being Canadian myself, I am super excited to see Disney Gift Cards popping up in more locations! Being able to grab a Disney Gift Card while doing my groceries adds a little magic to my routine day! When you purchase a Disney Gift Card in Canadian funds and you use it at Walt Disney World Resort, the conversion rate will automatically happen at the previous day’s closing exchange rate. This is fantastic because you will not be charged a conversion fee like most debit or credit cards! The same is true of transferring funds, your Canadian Funds will be exchanged for United States Dollars at the previous day’s closing rate when you make the transfer. Recently, a few friends on social media were discussing this exact scenario and it seems that they had no issues whatsoever.

Remember that Disney Gift Cards can be used to pay for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation through your My Disney Experience account, or over the phone. You can also use it for purchases at many Disney retail locations and Disney restaurants, too! I like to get Disney Gift Cards in smaller amounts for my children to be able to purchase their own souvenirs. Once the card runs out of funds, they are done purchasing souvenirs! It’s a great way for them to really have to think about their purchases.

I hope this answers your question and that you have a magical day,

    Jen
