When is college week? I am planning a trip the first week in April. Thank you

Greetings, Sylvia! I remember college week when I was younger! I am so sad to tell you that I called this morning to confirm, and I was told that college week is no longer an event at Walt Disney World Resort. Keep your eyes peeled on the Disney Parks Blog, as they are always the first to announce new events or changes at Walt Disney World Resort.

Instead, during the first week of April, you can find one of my favorite events, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. You’ll find all of Epcot’s flower beds primped and polished ‘til they glow with pride, just like Mulan! New and tasty dishes will be featured at popup pavilions all over the park, and it’s sure to delight your taste buds. If you’re of age, you can enjoy a spiked Dole Whip, one of my favorite over-21 treats.

Another fun off-the-beaten-path activity to enjoy is flying higher than Dumbo at Disney Springs in a hot air balloon with Characters in Flight. You can buy tickets in advance to secure your flight at the attraction location.

I know you’re bound to find adventure on your trip, just make sure to bring your Dragon Guardian and your lucky cricket! ~Lindsey
