Hello Lexi!
Welcome to planDisney! Congrats on working towards your college degree in Southern California! I chose to go to college somewhere very cold and now I look back and wonder what I was thinking. Shorts over sweaters is now my motto and I'm sure you probably agree. Of course, the education part is probably important too but let's not forget the sunshine! Sorry, I think I'm already over the cold of New York and it isn't even winter yet!) Let us move on before I start looking up house listings in California.
I did confirm this with a Cast Member who stated that the only proof accepted to use for this ticket is a valid government-issued photo ID that shows that you live within the 90000-93599 ZIP codes. When you enter the Parks, the Cast Members at the ticket booths will not accept anything else. The
So Cal Resident ticket is such a great deal and for such a long period. As you may know it is usable for any three days between January 2 and June 2, 2024, which means that if you did want to change your driver's license there is time. I looked up the residency documents to get a California driver's license and found quite a few documents can be accepted. You may have a chance!
I'm sorry that I don't have better news for you but I hope it works out. The Disney Parks Blog announced that in 2024 there will be more
Disneyland After Dark events than ever before! These are
specially ticketed events that you can't use a regular ticket for. Even the discounted SoCal ticket won't apply for this event so consider taking a chance on trying out something very exciting to soothe your ticket disappointment. As an elder millennial, I am excited most about the Disney Channel Nite in March! I will be dancing with Phineas and Ferb and remembering the feeling of an endless summer vacation prime for adventure! I hope you get a chance to enjoy it as well!
Happy Planning!
