Hi, Tonia!
I'm so happy to hear that you're finding helpful advice here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We all really enjoy helping Guests with their vacation planning.
The
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant is actually considered a
Table Service restaurant in reference to the
Disney Dining Plans. Since
Advanced Dining Reservations can be made up to 180-days in advance, if you make them sooner than that, you may end up with a time that's a little earlier or later than what you'd like. We've had this happen before and if it's a restaurant that we really want to dine at, we will adjust our day to make it work.
For example, if our family had a 4:20 p.m. dinner reservation, we would try to eat breakfast at around 10:00 a.m. or so. That way, we'd be ready for dinner by the time 4:20 p.m. came around. We might be ready for some kind of a snack between dinner and bedtime and we've found that this is the perfect time to get one of the amazingly delicious cupcakes that are so big, they're practically a meal in themselves. It can also be a great time to visit
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop for an ice cream sundae!
See? Sometimes those early dinner reservations can work out to your advantage leaving you room to try some amazing desserts while taking in the nighttime entertainment around the Parks.
I sure hope this helps, Tonia! Thanks for visiting us here at the Moms Panel and please let us know if we can help with any other questions you have.
Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
