    Too cold last trip to go to water parks. Hoping to visit both on March trip. Have never been to either. Wondering about footwear:flip flops, water shoes, sandals? Worried about hot surfaces for kids(12,10,6) going between water rides. Thanks for your help!

    Hi Lisa!  

    I think you're in for some warm weather this March.  It has been in the high 80's for the past couple of weeks.  In fact, we visited Typhoon Lagoon just a couple of weekends ago and the weather was perfect!  

    One of the things I love most about the Walt Disney World Water Parks is the safety and concern for guests.  (That goes for all the parks, actually)  There are ground sprayers on areas of pavement that are not shaded or have long stretches between water areas that cool the ground off so your feet don't get too hot.  There are even ground sprayers in lines that don't have shade so the guests can be comfortable standing in line.  In the past, you would see us jumping from shady spot to shady spot, but this isn't the case anymore.  We walk around barefoot everywhere.

    A helpful tip is to use the lazy river attraction at each of the parks as your transportation when you can.  You don't need to have a float to jump in and can leisurely walk in the river from one destination to another.  It's a fun and "cool" way to get around.
