Hi Debra! Welcome to planDisney.
One of my very favorite things to do at my
Disney Resorts Collection hotel is enjoying a cup of coffee and some Disney downtime. One of my favorite Disney memories is sitting on the balcony of our villa at Disney's Old Key West Resort, sipping coffee with my mom, chatting, and enjoying the beautiful resort landscaping and views. It's a pleasure to help you find your "bibbidi bobbidi brew" moment!
I'm very happy to confirm that you'll find a coffee maker in almost every Walt Disney World Resort hotel. At this time, I believe the only rooms without a coffee maker are
The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Even there, a cup of coffee is just a short walk away at the Landscape of Flavors food court.
The in-room coffee makers are usually either Keurig or Cuisinart; the Cuisinart machines are a proprietary design that use a flat coffee pod (it's basically a tea bag filler with coffee). You'll also find both decaf and regular coffee along with sugar and sweetener packets, creamer, and stir sticks; these supplies are replenished when housekeeping visits or you can call them for more of anything you need. I like milk in my coffee, so I usually pick up a small milk carton in the hotel gift shop to keep in our refrigerator.
Hotel Quick-Service dining locations also sell Resort Refillable Mugs. These mugs are currently priced at $19.99 (subject to change) and feature fun Walt Disney World designs. Once you purchase a mug, refills of coffee, tea, cocoa, and soda are all-you-care-to-enjoy for the length of your stay at any resort hotel Quick-Service restaurant (they cannot be refilled in the theme parks). I like to purchase these mugs during my visits; I'll walk over for a mug of coffee first thing in the morning (I love exploring the grounds of Disney hotels during the peaceful morning hours), grab some soda to enjoy poolside, or use to enjoy a drink with dinner or after-dinner coffee.
There are also Starbucks locations in all four theme parks and in Disney Springs. You'll also find Joffrey's Coffee & Tea stands throughout Walt Disney World; this is a local coffee company with lots of coffee beverages, smoothies, and the BEST donuts. Stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for great planning tips; their Foodie Guides often feature fun new coffee drinks.
Debra, I hope these tips help you find the magical pixie dust known as coffee during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I'm raising my Mickey mug in a chEARs to your visit. Thanks for stopping by with this delicious question, and please come back and see us if you have any more questions as you plan and dream.
Wishing you much magic (and much coffee),
Robyn
