Jean, I wish I could reach right through this computer screen and give you a big hug! Your question touches my heart because I've seen Disney make an impact on so many people. The Most Magical Place on Earth is the perfect place to celebrate the road to recovery!
The place to start is the
Special Offers page on the Walt Disney World website. There are often discounts on rooms at
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, so if you're flexible with the time of yEAR you're traveling, I bet you'll find a deal here. If you haven't been to Walt Disney World in a while, I'd also encourage you to contact a travel agent who is an Authorized Disney Travel Planner. They are pros at finding the best bargains, and they will help you with your dining reservations and
FastPass+ selections, which can be tricky when coordinating a large group.
If you are unable to wait in attraction queues for long periods, then stop by Guest Relations to obtain a
Disability Access Service card. They are for Guests with a wide variety of needs, including the inability to stand in long lines due to fatigue.
Electric Conveyance Vehicles (or scooters) are another way to stay off your feet and can be rented at each of the theme parks.
Guest Relations is also the place to pick up an "I'm Celebrating" button. Make sure to get a personalized one, because Cast Members love to recognize Guests, and sometimes they'll surprise you with a little bit of pixie dust!
All of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel wish you a magical trip!
