Hey there, Jennifer. Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
Jennifer, I also like to have a few groceries in my
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room for my vacation. I typically order bottles of water, soda, snacks and a few breakfast items to enjoy in the room while getting ready each morning.
There are several Publix grocery stores around the
Walt Disney World area. The closest seems to be the location at the Lakeside Village Center in Winter Garden. It's about 4 miles away and should only take about 10 minutes to get there.
What I like to do is use an app like Instantcart to get my groceries delivered directly to the resort. I hate to lose precious park time grocery shopping. You can get groceries delivered straight to the resort hotel and if you aren't there when they are delivered, Bell Services will store them for you until you arrive. However, if you do this keep in mind that if you order adult beverages or other items that require an i.d. you will have to be present to show this to the Instantcart driver directly or they won't leave those particular items. When you are ready for your things, they can be delivered directly to your room or you can pick them up yourself at the Bell Services counter. There is a small fee for the hotel to accept your delivery, but if you are there when it arrives you can bypass that fee by accepting your items yourself.
I hope this helps, Jennifer. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help. Have fun!
Enjoy your trip!
