Hiya, Donita, and welcome to
planDisney!
Your February vacation to the
Happiest Place on Earth will be here before you know it! To help you get here, there are
several local airport options to choose from. My two favorites are
Long Beach Airport (approximately 13 miles from Disneyland Resort) and
John Wayne Airport (approximately 15 miles from Disneyland Resort). They’re both smaller airports with typically shorter security lines and smaller crowds than the largest nearby airport,
Los Angeles International Airport (approximately 40 miles from Disneyland Resort). So, if at all possible, I recommend selecting Long Beach Airport or John Wayne Airport. Since they’re both smaller airports, they don’t offer as many flight options, and can be priced higher sometimes, but, if you consider the convenience, short commutes, less traffic, and stress-free experience, I think they’re worth it!
If you’d like to plan your transportation to Disneyland Resort before your arrival at the airport, I recommend checking out Karmel Shuttle Service, which operates a fleet of vehicles based on the number of passengers in your party. You can reach them at (714) 670-3480. You can also select a taxi or Uber upon arrival.
Based off your arrival date, you’ll be just in time to catch the tail end of the
Lunar New Year festivities at
Disney California Adventure Park, which runs through February 13! You won’t want to miss the entertaining and colorful
Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession! Plus, be sure to nab a Sip and Savor Pass for the
Lunar New Year Marketplaces – yum!
I hope this information helps with your planning, Donita! Please stop by with any additional questions… we’re all EARs!
