Do you have to have closed toe shoes for rides at Disney?

    Welcome Home, Kristy!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your excellent question. I am thrilled to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

Kristy, at the present time, there are no Walt Disney World Resort rides or attractions that require Guests to wear closed-toe shoes.

However, when experiencing Soarin’ Around the World at Epcot, Guests with shoes that do not have ankle straps or that do not secure to the ankles, such as flip-flops, must leave them on the floor directly below their seats or in the basket attached to their seats before “taking flight!”

Kristy, I encourage you to check out a full list of Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules and Regulations by visiting this link. If you have any additional questions, you are welcome to return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We are always here to help you plan the “practically perfect” Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
