Ahoy there, Florence! I am so happy to hear you are thinking about the travel documentation needed for your cruise. It is always the top item on my packing list, just to make sure I am waving goodbye from the deck of the ship with the Sail Away party and not from my car at the port.
Disney Cruise Line itineraries to the Caribbean departing from and returning to the same port (closed loop) generally only require a state-issued birth certificate or other similar documentation for children 15 and younger, not a government-issued photo identification or a passport. As these are requirements set by the U.S. State Department, I always recommend checking the
Passport and Travel Documentation information to be sure I have what is needed for my cruise.
With my travel documentation checked off my to-do list, my next favorite thing to do is plan for
Port Adventures. You can see these online or on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. I love how the app has them by day, but did you know online you can search and filter by experience and activity type? There are so many great Port Adventures for a family with a 12-year-old, with a full range of intensity of activity.
With your cruise quickly approaching, I hope you are marking off items on your to-do list. Pretty soon, you'll be on board, enjoying
lunch at Cabanas and ready to sail away on a magical adventure at sea.
If you have any other questions before then,
planDisney is here for you.
Enjoy!
