Welcome to planDisney, Stephanie!
Planning a trip for the whole crew is all kinds of fun! I am sure the entire family is getting excited about your upcoming adventure. Staying together is part of the magic, and I am happy to go over my top tips for keeping everyone as close as possible.
The first step to staying together is to book the same room type! If some family members are booking Preferred Rooms while others are booking Standard, you may find yourselves on opposite ends of your resort. I also want to mention that if you have not booked your stay just yet, there is an option to select Nearby Room and With Connecting Door
when booking online. Choose the option that is best for your family, and follow the prompts to link reservations. If you have already booked, Hakuna Matata! You can group your bookings and make requests to stay near each other by
calling the Tickets and Hotel Reservations line.
Once your
stay at a Disney Resort hotel is booked, I recommend reaching back out to a friendly Cast Member at least a month before you arrive to confirm the room request is noted on each room reservation. And finally, after you arrive at your hotel, stop by the front desk to check on your request. A Cast Member will be able to go over the status of your request and what room options may be available to keep you all together. It is important to keep in mind that Cast Members do their best to honor preferences, but requests are not guaranteed.
While we are on the topic of keeping family together,
consider booking a Capture Your Moment session during your visit. You can choose from any of the four theme parks, and this
Enchanting Extra is the perfect way to ensure everyone gets in those iconic shots. Each session is 20 minutes, and you can book sessions back-to-back if you need a little extra time for a bigger group.
I hope your upcoming adventure is magical!
