Hiya, Cathie!
Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to see that you are planning a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few short weeks. I am sure that everyone in your party is getting excited about your upcoming arrival. But we all know that sometimes travel plans change, and if you need to modify your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort, here is all you need to know about changing the dates of your trip.
Walt Disney World vacation packages can be modified without any change fees 30 or more days prior to arrival. You can change the dates of your trip through your
My Disney Experience account on the Walt Disney World website. Changes cannot be made through the My Disney Experience app. Select the
My Plans option from the My Disney Experience account drop-down menu. Next to your resort hotel details will be a
Change link. Choose this to modify your upcoming dates. Packages that are changed after the 30-day timeframe
may be subject to a change fee. Changes may need to be made by speaking with a friendly Cast Member by phone with
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations, as soon arrival packages are not always able to be modified online.
If your upcoming reservation is a room-only booking (accommodations without tickets) you can change your dates up to 5 days prior to your arrival without any change fees and these changes can also be made through your My Disney Experience account. If your arrival is less than five days away and you need to make changes, you will need to reach out to that same phone line, Disney Resort Hotel Reservations.
Changes to your departure date are also based on your
Walt Disney World Resort Collection hotel's availability. Should you find that you are looking to add extra nights and there are no rooms available, you can also consider doing a split stay! This is when Guest starts their magical vacation at one resort, and moves to another during their stay. You can even leave your luggage with Bell Services to be transferred to your next resort while you head off to your favorite theme park.
Cathie, don't forget to change or make new
Park Pass reservations if your travel plans change. All four theme parks currently require a reservation in addition to a valid theme park ticket. Your Park Pass reservations for your current dates can also be
modified online in a few easy steps.
I hope your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
Tammy
