I just want to be clear on what time I can start making advanced dining reservations in 7 days. Is it 5:45 am or 6 am? Is it ET (daylight savings time, which we will be using when our 60 day window opens) or EST (which would make it 7 am)?

    Hiya, Jim. Welcome to planDisney

I am glad you are thinking ahead to making your advanced dining reservations. The best places to eat can fill up rather quickly so it is always great to have a plan!

You can make your advanced dining reservations online via your MyDisneyExperience account starting at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time - which is Eastern Standard Time. Occasionally the system will open up a little bit before 6:00 a.m. so I encourage people to be up and signed in about 10 minutes prior. If you'd like the help of a Cast Member when making your selections, you can call 407-WDW-DINE starting at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time and they will be more than happy to assist you.

I know you've probably got your itinerary all set, Jim, but if you are looking for any other dining recommendations, The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs is one of my favorites. The restaurant is set right on the lake and provides stunning views as the sun goes down. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone. Right now, my go-to order is the lobster roll served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries. It's delicious!

I hope you are able to snag all of the selections you'd like for dining during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
