Just to be clear... I can purchase Genie + ahead of time ( vacation is in June) but I can't select any attractions until MN the day of for Genie + and not until park opens for lightning lane?

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

You seem to have most of it right, but let me clarify some of the timing, just in case. To begin, yes, you can purchase Genie+ ahead of time. As for booking your attractions, here is how all that works.

    • Genie+ Lightning Lane times can be reserved starting at 7 am, the day of the visit. There is no difference in that start time for guests, whether they are staying in a Disney Resort hotel or not.
    • Individual Lightning Lane times can be reserved starting at 7 am, the day of the visit, for guests staying at Disney Resort Hotels and other select hotels. All other guests can start making Individual Lightning Lane reservations at the time of park opening.
    • It is important to note that neither Genie+ Lightning Lane nor Individual Lightning Lane times can be reserved before the day at the park. So no, you would not be able to book attractions days or weeks beforehand.
It probably goes without saying, but having the My Disney Experience App installed on your smartphone is really essential to taking advantage of these programs. Having all your plans at your fingertips also makes your trip smoother.

Write me back if you have any clarifying questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
