How do they clear a park that has evening extra hours? Also for the nights of MVMCP? Can non resort guests or non party goers stay in the park, but not go on rides or attractions? thanks

    Hi Kathleen!

What a fabulous question!  Extra Magic Hours are one of my very favorite benefits of being a Disney Resort guest.  On select mornings and evenings, one of the four Disney parks will add extra hours for those guests staying in a Disney resort.  Total magic!!!  During this time, "day guests" will be politely asked to leave, although a lot of it depends on the honor system.  In order to ride any of the attractions, all guests will be required to show their "Key to the World" resort guard in order to board.  No sneaking on a last minute plunge down Splash Mountain!

However, things are much more stringent for Disney special events, such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  Party goers will be instructed to head to one of several wristband pick up locations and ONLY those with paid party tickets will be issued wristbands.  As party time approaches, other guests will politely be asked to leave the parks.  The Cast Members seem to have this system down to a science and the parks are "magically" cleared each and every time!

I hope that you have a fabulous vacation and I would love to hear from you again!
