Hi there, Ashlee! Welcome to planDisney. You are just a few short months away from your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. I bet you are starting to feel the magic as your plans are coming together!
It's great that you are checking in with the
park rules ahead of time so that it's smooth sailing once you arrive at those gates! While there is no policy requiring clear bags, all persons, bags, and other items may be subject to screening and security checks. I would anticipate that your bags will be searched as part of the entry process. Clear bags would certainly speed that up for you, but it's not required or necessary. I used to be the Mom that would arrive at the parks with a bag full of little bags. I liked to keep our sunblocks separate from our snacks separate from changes of clothes, but I learned my lesson pretty quickly that this delayed our park entry as the security team would need to look in each and every one. So, lesson learned and passed on to you - you might be on to something with your clear bags!
With your arrival date just over two months away, I do want to put a little star reminder on the calendar for you. Did you know you can start making your
dining reservations 60 days out from your trip? Some dining locations will fill up quickly, so I always like to log in at the 60-day mark and make a few. While it's not set in stone, typically reservations will open up around 3 a.m. PST, and they can always be canceled and modified at a later date. One of my absolute favorites is
Blue Bayou Restaurant where you can dine on New Orleans-inspired cuisine under a twinkling night sky and watch your fellow guests sail away on their pirate adventure! If you're looking for something that is classic Disneyland, try the
Carnation Cafe right on Main Street, U.S.A. Here you can actually order a few of Walt's own favorite dishes and this is where we always stop for Mickey waffles! It's my favorite spot to just relax, take in the sights and sounds of the park, and watch Guests make their way to Sleeping Beauty Castle. Over at
Disney California Adventure Park, dine old Hollywood style at
Carthay Circle Restaurant or step into picturesque Napa Valley at
Wine Country Trattoria. There are so many experiences and tastes for every palate, even the pickiest ones!
Ashlee, the magic awaits! If you have any more questions in your planning, stop by to see us! We are always here for you at
planDisney!
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
