Hi Laura,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations!
When you park at Magic Kingdom, you will need to head from your car to the Transportation and Ticket Center to connect to transportation to Magic Kingdom. There are open-air trams that can take you from your car to the Transportation and Ticket Center, so I think these will be okay for you. You can also walk this journey, which can be short from some points in the parking lot, but can be quite far from others. Once you have arrived at the Transportation and Ticket Center, it sounds like you do not want to take the
monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom. I have great news for you! There are also
ferryboats that make this trip. The boats are huge and open-air. I find the journey across Seven Seas Lagoon in one of these ferryboats to be calm and lovely. Hopefully these will be a good choice for you.
I hope that this information eases your mind, Laura. Please do let us know if you have any further questions!
