Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Josh!
You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your excellent question. Don't you just love the flexibility of Disney Vacation Club? It gives our family affordable family vacations year after year to Disney and beyond. Josh, I too have an
October Use Year schedule for our Disney Vacation Club Points, and I just inquired about this question myself so you've come to the right place.
Josh, when your Vacation Points replenish in October 2023, those are your Vacation Points for 2023. You should receive all of your Vacation Point allotment if you have not
borrowed ahead. If you have borrowed ahead, you would not get the full allotment since those points shave been used. But once that October 2023 date comes, you will now have your 2023 Vacation Points and be available to borrow ahead from your 2024 Vacation Points.
For example, our family used all of our 2022 Vacation Points and borrowed ahead to our 2023 Vacation Points, giving us a current balance of 9 Vacation Points remaining for 2023 (after booking three Disney vacations this year.) When October 2023 comes, we will only have those 9 Vacation Points for 2023. We can't currently use any of our 2024 points until October when our Vacation Point Use Year date comes, and then we will be able to use up our remaining points for 2023 and borrow ahead for 2024. If we hadn't borrowed ahead from our 2023 Vacation Points, we would get our full allotment in October 2023.
I hope this helps you, Josh. If you have any additional
Disney Vacation Club questions,
stop back and see me here and I'll be glad to help you. You can also contact
DVC Member Services if you have specific questions pertaining to your account.
Enjoy the magic!
