Hi Jennifer!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about
Walt Disney World Resort theme park rules.
Jennifer, you can most certainly leave a Walt Disney World Resort theme park and return later in the day — with any
Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket. All theme park tickets, even those without the Park Hopper option, allow Guests to exit and re-enter the same park at a later time. Guests must present their admission cards or MagicBands for theme park re-entry.
Many Guests choose to leave the theme parks early in the day in order to take mid-day naps, a dip in their Resort hotel pools or to have lunch outside of the theme parks. They later return to the theme parks for the nighttime spectaculars or to catch a
one-of-a-kind fireworks show. I always take advantage of the exit and re-entry rule in order to freshen up and allow my daughters to rest for a bit.
Because you will have the park hopper option added to your theme park tickets, you can “hop” to other parks in-between exiting and re-entering your first theme park. In other words, you can start your day at Magic Kingdom Park, “hop” over to Epcot for lunch, and return to Magic Kingdom Park for dinner.
Jennifer, if you have any additional questions, please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel again. We are always here to help you plan your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
