Hi Lorrie! Welcome to planDisney!
A visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect way to start your summer! Between the theme parks, water parks, and resort recreation, you’ll have plenty of options to keep your party having fun and staying cool during this time. With so many new experiences that have recently been added or are just opening, you will have countless options to explore!
I have great news for you! You are absolutely correct about the number of days you will have when adding the Water Parks and Sports Option to your multi-day park tickets. When
purchasing a 4-day park ticket with this add-on, you’ll then have access to an additional four days of a variety of other experiences. During the purchase, you will need to select a date to start using your tickets. It will then give you an eight-day window to use your tickets and experiences within.
Theme Park Reservations are required to enter the four parks, so I would take care of that as soon as you plan out your week. But for the water park or other activities, reservations are not required. Your schedule can be a bit more flexible on these days.
You are going to have the best time incorporating some different activities into your stay.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park comes packed with all levels of fun! Typhoon Lagoon has one of the largest wave pools in the world! You can even sign up for surfing lessons while you are there! There is also a fantastic kids' play area if you happen to be traveling with little ones. While Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is currently closed and undergoing refurbishments, I would continue to check the
Disney Parks Blog for any updates or announcements leading up to your stay. Even if this is the case, you can easily spend multiple days enjoying Typhoon Lagoon or the miniature golf courses available to you!
Lorrie, I hope you have an amazing time during your upcoming visit! Have a blast being part of the
World’s Most Magical Celebration!
See ya real soon!
