Can we take cider instead of beer in our carry-on when travelling from Melbourne to Hobart (Australia)? Many thanks

Ahoy Sara, and welcome to planDisney.  Alcoholic or hard ciders cannot be taken on board instead of beer on Disney Cruise Line.  The Alcohol Policy for Guests 18 years or older sailing on round trip cruises from Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, and Brisbane is that a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (nor larger than 750 ml) OR 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) can be brought on board in carry-on bags.

There is cider onboard for purchase though, along with other beverages.  One of my favorite lounges on the Disney Wonder is the French Quarter Lounge.  You can enjoy live performances while sipping your favorite beverage in this New Orleans, Louisiana-themed area. Download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to stay current on daily activities once you embark.

If you have any other questions, sail back to planDisney.  We will be happy to help.

    Adventure is out there!
