Hi there, Danielle!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney with a question that combines two of my favorite things: Disney dining and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Just like Timon and Pumba, I'm always ready to rustle up some grub!
Nomad Lounge is such a delightful little hideaway at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, so I'm thrilled your travels have you headed in its direction. I just confirmed with a helpful Cast Member that Nomad Lounge's menu is available for redemption on the
Disney Dining Plan. One small plate (such as the churros) and a beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) can be redeemed as 1 Table-Service Meal for Guests enjoying the Disney Dining Plan. If you are traveling with a companion or in a group, I suggest ordering differing small plates so that everyone can taste-test the various dishes. If you enjoy your meal on the beloved back balcony, be sure to keep your eyes (and ears) peeled for
Character Cruises and Flotillas as they sail along Discovery River. You might get the chance to raise a glass to Rafiki!
Since we're talking about one of my favorite things, dining at Disney's Animal Kingdom, I'd love to provide some suggestions to round out your day on the dining plan.
Satu-li Canteen, my favorite quick-service location in Walt Disney World Resort, is tucked away in
Pandora - The World of Avatar and offers protein-hearty bowls that are a welcome respite from traditional theme park fare. When you're in need of a mid-afternoon snack, I recommend stopping by
Trilo-Bites in DinoLand U.S.A. for the buffalo chicken chips. These are a 'can't miss' for me!
I hope this was helpful, Danielle, and that you enjoy your time in the wild of Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If any additional questions arise as you are planning your menu, don't hesitate to
stop back by. I'm happy to help!
Hakuna Matata,
Lizzie
